I have been told that Slacker Radio uses your gps location and tracks your location. Is this true if anybody knows? I personally like the app and it works great on my phone.

**Wondering if anyone else has heard this?

Um... You can. You might want to try reinstalling it. Slacker is good like that. I've had to reinstall it quite a few times due to problems of varying capacities. Never had that one though!

On the Slacker boards I've read of people having problems with headphones. Some people are able to shut down Slacker, plug in headphones, then restart Slacker and it works through the headphones.

As for GPS, I haven't heard of Slacker using GPS for anything. I believe they us IP addresses (whether phone or computer) to block non-US customers from using their service (licensing issues).

Well I have an 8300 and it doesn't have gps. So it isn't a requirement.

I love slacker as well. Its a little buggy sometimes but once it gets going it flows very well and the buffering times are only a few seconds. Why would it need to access the gps?

i really like Slacker Radio a lot, except for one thing, which is that most of the time when it switches from song to song i hear a short noise. it kinda reminds me of those sounds that you would get when you used to play an LP, on a record player. other than that, it's great...

Using Slacker with a set of Skull Candy. Works great. Kept one earbud in while I took the overnight shift driving a banzai 21 1/2 hour drive to Florida. Listened to the comedy stations. Kept me awake and let the wife and kids sleep.
