Does the 8900 support slacker radio and vice versa. I just went to m.slacker.com and the browser say it doesn't support my device. Doesn't make since.

It should work. I have downloaded it and used it on my 8900. If you got through on your wife's phone it should be the same process. I just went to Slacker Personal Radio - Listen to Free Internet Radio Stations and it should let you downloaded it from there. What browser are you using?

I found out here - forums(dot)pinstack(dot)com/sitemap/t-99845.html - that you have to turn OFF WiFi to get slacker to work.

I've also found that you can turn WiFi back ON after slacker is going (just dont' change stations). Probably not a problem when you're on the radio.

Maybe it will work better that way. I did setup my account online before I had my 8900. You still have to download the app, though.

I use Slacker almost every day on my 8900. No turning off of Wi-Fi is necessary. Just set up the account on line and then when you log in on the 8900, it loads up your favorite stations. The sound quality is great and I have had no problems with this app at all.
