    Oki I updated my OS to the new 5.0 (Verizon), and every since I can't login into my skype. I keep getting "Sorry, we could not connect. Please check your connection settings and try again". Well I know is not my password or user id, so what is gonig on? It worked fine in the past but I can't login every since I upgarded the OS. Please Help.

    Try uninstalling it and then reinstall it, maybe that will help.

    Are you logged in on another device such as you pc or another skype app like palringo? May be interference.

    Can't get Skype to work either, but I have a different problem. I keep getting the "Skype mobile can only be used on Verizon Wireless in the US. To learn about using Skype mobile to make free or low-cost calls from the US, visit (verizon's skyple link)" pop-up message. All I can do is click "CLOSE" after that, and that's it. If I go back in or even re-download, that's what happens.

    It did this to me on 4.7 and now on 5.0. I'm in the U.S., I'm on Verizon. Downloaded again right from the Skype for BB Tour mobile page. What gives????

    Yep. When that didn't work, I deleted, rebooted, downloaded again...same result.

    I was running the leaked .230 version when Skype first came out. Worked fine. Works fine after the new version install as well. Nothing "burped" on my end. Lucky I guess!
