The only network in the UK that works with Skype is 'three', I have an old Bold 9700 (originally from O2) and I was wondering if I install the 'three' BB operating software and then insert a 'three' sim will it allow Skype to work?

I'd think if you insert a "three" sim card (including BIS option) you should be able to download skype.

Keep in mind that skype calls are routed through gsm network and "three" might charge you for these calls depending on your contract modalities.
