i just learned about this app from a CrackBerry blog comment. Going to download right now. Seems like a good app and it's FREE @ BlackBerry App World!
i like the idea of OTA backups and syncs since i don't have a PC.

i use skydeck
Does it drain your battery?
I have been useing Skydeck for about a week now and I havent noticed any battery drain as of yet
I've been using SkyDeck for a little over a month now and its a life saver. The UI online is great and simple to navigate. It doesn't drain my battery and its fast and runs in the background.

Awesome! Thanks guys.
If you deleted a text your got as soon it came it, it MIGHT not have been saved. A lot is going to depend on the SD servers, and depend on if you actually have SD running at the time you deleted the text. Personally I'd run a few tests to see for yourself, how fast you can delete a text before it won't get backup.
Seems to pretty much do most texts as they come in, as long as you have the app running in the background. If you do NOT have the app running, it will not sync or backup anything, until you run the app and do a manual sync.
It will not backup anything that you do not have on your Berry, so if you had it turned off, and delete a number of text, then decide it's time to load the app and sync, anything your deleted will not be sync'ed.
As far as it draining the battery, have not noticed that being the cause on my 8320.
I also do not know if it will backup new text if you have the phone turned off when the text comes in.
Also if the text are OVER 120/160 chars, you will not always get all of the text, so it's not a fool proof backup, so if you need 100% word for word text backup, SD may not be for you, but you will get enough of the text and know who it came from, to be able to get the idea of what the text was about if it's a long multi-paged text. But most of the time for me, anything over normal text limits, comes in a series of texts via SD. Some garbled (odd chars between words), most not. So again, if you are into novel length text messages, you might want to find another option.
Think of Skydeck as an online Phone/Text log for your phone, not perfect, but it does the job in most cases.
The online interface, does allow you to send and receive text messages.
Also I have noticed that SD does not always get messages at the same time your phone does or always in the same order as were sent. But then txt don't always come in order sent or when sent from certain carriers/contacts for some reason. I have two contacts, one on TMO and another on Sprint, that for some odd reason, no matter the time of day, their text always gets to me 10 mins to 2 hours after they sent it. Everyone else, the text arrive seconds after they send them. The mystery of the texting universe.
I used Skydeck for a while...it helps drain ur bat if you have to set to sync automatically(every text you send or receive) I used manual sync.
