Windows Live,
AIM
BlackBerry Messenger
Google Talk
ICQ
Yahoo Messenger08-03-09 10:47 AMLike 0 - I'm not sure I understand that feature. Could they not be launched before? I'm going to purchase this. Tried the free trial and thought it was great. A competitor product was just on offer for half price but it doesn't seem half as intuitive/quick.
Unless I missed them, I couldn't find out how to multiple click conv keys or assign more than one letter to a shortcut on the other app.
Shortcutme is the real deal.

Thanks.
Launching the new version of BB Messenger 5.0 and other instant messaging apps were on our to do list. And we did support it in this version.08-03-09 12:58 PMLike 0 - I'm not sure I understand that feature. Could they not be launched before? I'm going to purchase this. MultiClick feature and the feature that allows shortcuts to be launched from keypad in an intuitive and fast way has been part of ShortcutMe since March this year when it was released for the first time.
And we have spent lots of time to let users use the same features even on keypad-less BlackBerries (Storm) so that, if they change their BB, ShortcutMe can still launch their shortcuts quickly. (ShortcutMe on Storm brings up it's own keypad right after Conv. key is clicked).
We don't have any plan to stop here and will keep adding new features to ShortcutMe to make it even more powerful.08-03-09 01:09 PMLike 0 - I'm not sure if you are aware of the humor behind my post. The QuickLaunch developer has strongly said many many times that it is *impossible* for a 3rd party app to launch some applications like Yahoo chat, etc. He has even rudely commented many times against posts when I have asked if he figured it out yet and would again explain how it is *impossible* to do. I always knew that guy was full of crap and his skills were limited. This really did make my day for sure! Good Times!08-03-09 01:44 PMLike 0

Just saw that you have posted 6750 CB posts. It is respectfully amazing!08-03-09 02:15 PMLike 0 -
2- Click on AppName Field and select "Messages_MenuOptions".
3- Click "Set Parameter (Info+Examples)..." button to see example and information about how to set proper parameters for what you want to do.
4-....
Proper parameter for launching BB Messenger for my BB (+OS) is
10;1
I also tried 10;1;800 which runs the whole thing faster. But you need to try out the delay parameter by your self as it may varies from BB OS to BB OS.08-03-09 02:29 PMLike 0 -
No, it is not a preset parameter for windows Live Messenger.
Open BlackBerry's Messages application. Press Menu and then select "Instant Message" menu item.
If you see Windows Live Messenger in the pop up window, then you can launch it from ShortcutMe by selecting Messages_MenuOptions as AppName for your shortcut. Use "Set Parameter (Info/Example) ..." button to get more info when creating a shortcut for Windows Live Messenger (or generally for any other shortcut).08-03-09 09:20 PMLike 0 - Thanks, i understand now, but i'm having a problem.
If i go into messages and the cursor is at the very top of the page, ie the date is highlighted, then it works fine.
However if the cursor is over a current message the layout of the options menu changes and the shortcut is using this menu instead of the original to launch the app.
For example, i've got it set to 12;2 which launches fine if the cursor is at the very top of the messages app, but if i've got a message highlighted, the delete option is highlighted instead! Luickily position 2 in the delete menu is to cancel the delete action so i didnt loose anything.
Is this because i have separate mailboxes for email and SMS?

To upgrade, please download the trial version of ShortcutMe for 8900/9000 (trial version becomes a full licensed version as soon as it is downloaded to a BB running a licensed version of ShortcutMe) using the link in my signature.
Then use Messages_MenuOptions_B as AppName, this time counting from bottom of the menu for setting the first parameter (Use "Set Parameter (Info+Example) .." button gives you info about how to set parameters for this appName).
Let us know how it goes.08-04-09 06:56 AMLike 0 - Thanks for the quick repsonse, how's that for customer service!
I tried the new fix but i still have the same thing happening. If the date is highlighted, instant messaging is 9 from the bottom. But if a message is highlighted it adds in search sender and search subject properties into the menu, pushing instant messaging up to 11th from the bottom.

I have a fix for it. Will update the code to 3.6.3.0 later on today. Let you know when the fix is available for download.08-04-09 12:40 PMLike 0 - Vijik,
I recently won a copy of this great app through CB and have gotten it set up almost how i want it, however, i'm kinda confused about this whole parameter and delay subject. I've tried to research before posting here, but I just need a simple answer and I figured if anyone can help, it would be you!
Ok, so my question is, how do i make my apps (like facebook and such) open FASTER when i use ShortCutMe? My facebook is set to tripleclick on my left convenience key, and when i click it, its a pretty big delay before it opens... This is tha same for a couple of my apps. Please dont think I'm not appreciating this app either, because I LOVE it!
Thanks in advance for any and all help!08-04-09 01:52 PMLike 0 - ShortcutMe 3.6.3.0 is now on mobihand.
It should be launching any Instant Messaging app when you use AppName "InstantMessagingApps".
Use the button "Set Parameter (Info+Example) ..." to see how the parameters should be set.
Please update and let me know if it works on your BB (It works on my BB).

Reason for those delays are that different BB OS behaves differently and the only way everyone could use those tasks regardless of their BB model and OS, was to make it user configurable/adjustable.
Parameters and delays are not for multi click feature.
When you are launching something using multiclick feature, it is a delay (600 mS) before your app is launched because ShortcutMe needs to wait and see if you click conv key again.
This delay is not there if you launch your apps using ConvKey + Shortcut keys.08-04-09 04:58 PMLike 0
