im am trying to separate all these tools from one another but they are all under the messages icon. how can i create a separate icons for SMS TEXT only??? I have the bold 9700

Go to the Messages icon >Hit Menu >Options >General Options. Scroll down and seperate SMS and Email Inboxes...

go into the messages(email) folder > bb button> options> general options> sms and email inboxes: set it to Separate

While you're at it, hit the green call button >Hit menu >Options >Call Logging. Set it to "None" and when you miss a call it won't be listed in the messages icon anymore either...

oh, and how do i take the facebook notifications off of my sms text?

I believe through facebook itself you have your options set to sms notifications..

what if i already have my "icons separated" but everything is still showing in the "catch all" messages list..

basically i want all 3 of my email accounts to be logged in the ONE messages icon.. but i do not want my bbm and text showing there.. any help??

I updated my 9700 OS to v5.0.0.586 a couple of days ago via the Desktop Manager software, which also updated my Facebook app to 1.7.0.22.

Since then, my Facebook notifications have disappeared from my main message list, and I can't find out how to get them back.

When I go into the menu on the main message list, then Options, then Inbox Settings, all I have on the list are my gmail account under "Email Accounts", and "SMS and MMS" under "Other Message Types".

The Facebook notification icon still appears on the home screen, but I'd really like to see the notification in my main message list as well.

Can anyone help please?
