With all the software patents out there, I am sure Apple has numerous patents (or licenses for others' patents) for Siri. I wonder if the author of SayIt is going to be getting a visit from the Apple lawyers.

    I hope he doesn't.

I also hope for a 24 hours trial to be added when it hits AppWorld.

Check out v1.1.0 here, the beta expired
    Mobile Technology
I have that installed, but can't use/try it
    without registration code!
So I was wondering/hoping there was a trail version
to try it out, before I bought it.

Is there an "executive summary" of the differences between SayIt and Vlingo?
Difference from Vlingo at these key points:
1.It can answer to any question (like Siri), not like Vlingo (Some question)
    2. Can convert Text to Speech and save the converted text to mp3 format
    3. Can convert Speech To Text
    4. Can be used to compose SMS, Email, BBM, ... or any text typing using your Voice by Press Menu > SayIt on every text edit field

I seen the link, thought it wouldn't work since the beta
was over and it was going to app world.
Is there much of a difference between the beta and new one?

Need some reviews. $4 is too much for no trial. Vlingo was so disappointing for me, but free. I hope this turns out great. I wanted an iPhone for Siri alone, but corporate issued me a 9930.

Granted Siri in the only thing now the iPhone has that I want. I do not expect this app to go that far, but I really hope it goes further than Vlingo/Nuance did!

This app looks nice! Can't wait to try it! I too was disappointed by Vlingo (it was free though) so not sure if I'm ready to drop $4 on another voice app. But if there is a trial, I would love to try it!!

Point 3: With the premium version of Vlingo, such as the "Complimentary gift", you can do voice to text in any application by putting the cursor where you want to "type" the text, activate Vlingo with the convenience key, and say what you want to be converted to text and be inserted at that point. So if you just want to convert Speech to Text, open the Memo app.

Point 4: The premium version of Vlingo can create text messages and e-mail (and I think also BBM) directly with Vlingo commands.

Am I misunderstanding what SayIt can do?

I'm hoping it does it better than vlingo.

I just bought this app and it simply DOES NOT WORK ON TORCH 9810.
I downloaded, allowed permissions, and re-booted. After giving a "command" it either just "thinks" or it says "new command" no matter what I say. I say "e-mail" it says "new command". I say "calculator" it says "new command". Or it just shows "thinking" and nothing happens.
I should have known to wait for the trial, but I was curious if this app worked.
The voice to text does not work either. I record something and it says "recording sent" but I have no idea where it was sent!
Overall, this app simply does not work as advertised.
I have seen Siri in action and it works. This app is like Siri's really stupid brother!
The next command I will give it is "REFUND PLEASE?"
