I just got a used pearl 8130, my first blackberry. I wanted to know if i can save apps that i have downloaded to my 2gb sim card instead of using up the memory on the device?

First, it's not a SIM card, that is a secure digital card (memory card, sd card, media card, etc) The SIM card is used for your cellular service, not storage.

Secondly, No, you can't run apps on your removable memory card. You can save them there, with a 3rd party app, but to use them they will still need to be installed to your device.

Unfortunately, saving apps to an SD card is not an option for the Pearl (8100/10/20/30) at this time. The newer devices are rumored to possibly have this feature in OS 6.0; the Pearl 8100/10/20/30 will not be receiving the 6.0 update. Again, it's a big rumor, but would be sweet to have once our "oldie" Pearls die out.
