How do I find out what apps are running in the backround? My icon in the top right (box w/2 arrows) is almost flashing constantly. Just wondering if there are apps that run in the background by default that are not neccessary. Thx

Press and hold the BB menu key, running apps will be displayed & you can switch to from there as well.

Press and hold the bb button. that will show whats running. With that being said there are 5 you cannot shut down, BBM, messages, phone, home, and browser.

Cool. I saw that a bunch but thought it was another "app launcher" and not the running ones. Good deal. I guess that icon in the top right will always be on more if all the social apps and weather apps are always running.

That icon at the top right corner will flash a lot regardless. It's just doing its job of polling the BlackBerry server.

There are apps, like Facebook, weather, social feeds..., that might not appear as open but may still receive data.
