Does anyone know if some kind of app exists to give you the extra option of start time for a ringtune. I use many mp3s on my mem card as ringtunes, but some of which have long quiet beginnings or I only want the chorus etc. Instead of making another mp3 out of the part I want with audacity or something of the like, is there a simple app that I can just choose where the mp3 would start playing when someone calls?

I've never heard of anything like that (doesn't mean it doesn't exist!). I find it's pretty easy to just make a ringtone at Myxer or Phonezoo which has the part I like best.

Download Audacity, cut the part you want, save as mp3 and transfer to your phone.

ya, I use audacity already. I just like to change my ringtones enough that I thought it might be a cool app to have. Thanks anyways tho.
