My friend just got a 9700 and it has the enhanced gmail plugin - not sure if they installed it or not, i think it was actually came pre-installed from AT&T

this bold is brand new out of the box 2 days ago.

if i goto applications, i dont see the plugin like i normally would on the bold 9000 etc...

how can i remove the enhanced gmail plugin?

You can't delete it on the device itself.

Install the latest, or stock OS, and then rename "net_rim_bb_gmail.alx" within dir where OS is installed and run DM; which will then remove the plugin.

I usually delete every .cod file that begins with net_rim_bb_gmail. Usually about 20 or so of them along with the .alx file mentioned by PDM.

If you delete just the .alx file you do not need to worry about the .cods.

the .cods shadow the .alx... if it isn't there the .cods won't be either.
