I have GridMagic as well. I have the pro version. GridMagic saves files to your phone's memory, and not the SDcard. That's the only downfall. Other than that it's very fast and I use it daily.

If you have OS4.5, you have Docs-to-Go. You just have to register your copy to get the Excel capability. It is still free.

The only versions of OS4.5 that are available for the 8830 at this writing are beta releases. No carrier has released an officially supported version yet. There is not a generic OS4.5. An OS has to match the hardware. So you can't install an 8130 OS on an 8830, for example.

There are a couple of good reasons to stay away from beta OS's. The most important is that if it was ready for prime time, it would be officially released. In other words, it's still beta because there are still problems with it. The second most important reason not to install a beta OS is that it is not supported by your carrier. Customer service won't be able to help you if you have a problem.

There are OS4.5 betas for the 8830 available. You can find them if you look. If you find one, don't post it here. CrackBerry policy doesn't permit posting links to Beta OS's. I'm sorry, but that's all I can tell you.
