As with any portable electronic device, I believe that a battery pull should be a last resort. However, on a rare occasion, I have had to pull the battery on my Bold.
Therefore, has anyone used Quickpull which simulates an actual battery pull and is more like a soft reboot?
On a unrelated topic, has anyone used Poynt and is it really handy?

Is Poynt a big application and how have you used it recently?
I have both on my Storm, and feel that I could not survive without them. Alright, that's dramatic- but I do really love them.
I had both and both are great. Highly recommended..especially quickpull.
Does the Poynt GPS locator disengage when the app is closed? If you have a data pull, are there additional charges?
I deleted QP because its just as easy to press shift alt delete. It was nice though.
I like Poynt a lot. Especially the reverse lookup feature that let's you retrieve info from callers.
Why not just try them both out, they're free.

I will give them a try but I still have a concern about the GPS locator feature and whether it is still active once the app is closed.
I may be wrong, but I don't think GPS ever disengages if you have it set to be on. I just have mine on for E911, and set my location in Poynt to where I live (and manually change it to wherever I am). It doesn't "require" GPS to use it.
Yes, poynt gps does disengage if you manually close out of the app.
And there are not additional charges with quickpull. Quick pull is a must have in my opinion for virtually every blackberry user.
How do you turn it off?
