If you hold alt>right shift>del on the physical qwerty keyboard it does the same thing.

If the device is not completely locked up no method of rebooting (software or
keyboard) is even necessary. Rebooting IS NOT akin to memory management.

Yes, a totally pointless app for the Torch.

BTW, you keep posting about different apps, these posts don't belong here, they should be in the 3rd party app forum.

Not just for the 9800. These apps are pointless across the board.

The problem is they can sell them because only 3% of BB users actually
understand what the File Free number means. The other 97% is their
    customer base.

That isn't necessarily true. I will get the hourglass often at times and a reboot fixes that all the time.

^ agreed, if I am finding it slow a reboot or battery pull (either way) frees up memory on my 8830 everytime.

    Edit:
    I just performed an Alt-Shft-Del

    File Free:
    Before re-boot
    6950130 Bytes

    After re-boot
    9142782 Bytes

...and yes, I know, the 8830 has a lame amount of internal memory.

I've rarely had to reboot any of my Blackberries (a 8310 and now a 9800). I do the above steps when I have to.
