I received the email for the new QuiclLaunch update, so I downloaded and it locked my phone. I pulled the battery and received a message in tiny print in the center of the screen: JVM Error 517. I called T-Mobile and they cannot fix, so now I have to send my brand new 1 week old 9700 and I will receive a refurbished phone because this is covered under the manufacturers warranty and not the additional paid warranty.
I am wondering if I had something on the phone that caused a conflict with QuickLaunch. Anyone else had this problem?

Just reload the OS as stated above. The update went fine for me as well. There is no need to return your device at this point.

I tried but the phone would not communicate with the desktop manager.
T-Mobile had me go into my c drive-common files-rim-apploader and try to download os that way, but could not communicate with phone.
