- Looks GREAT!!!
Would be great if an option was provided to launch the app like in the previous version.
I was able to assign the left convenience key to QL by going into Screen/Keyboard in options but I'm not sure every user would know how to do that. The option to assign a key to close QL is there, why not one to open it?
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com06-13-09 11:54 PMLike 0 - Okay, I'm successfully installed on an 8350i running 4.6.1.204
No love with the SMS function in this version either. Probably because this phone doesn't support it, only uses MMS. Anyway to do that? I'll have to dig further...
Screen capture works fine. Able to add a worksheet from Docs To Go - love that feature (might have been there before, just noticed it now). Couple of websites run fine. Manage Connections and Camera both OK.
Time for bed, more testing tomorrow.06-13-09 11:58 PMLike 0 - Okay, I'm successfully installed on an 8350i running 4.6.1.204

Also when in an app selected from icon screen - say alarm for example, app switcher again acts like the back button and take you to the homescreen (back out of app - to icon screen - then homescreen).
If you select an app from the homescreen itself then you don't get this as it just backs out of the app and opens app switcher...
Any way we can have app switcher open without backing out of the app that you launch it from within. Dunno if it's to to with the shortcut that's on 4.6/.7 os that uses the BB button and back (or whatever it is) to launch app switcher. Don't think it can be done this way in 4.5...
Folders/submenu's are sweet.
When saving an app it would make more sense (to me lol) if after you choose save from the menu (as opposed to backing out of that screen) you remained on the screen with the list of apps until you're finished and choose to back out of the screen...
Adding QL to system menu - QL appears in the menu list on only stock apps (msg/calendar/tasks etc) and not in 3rd pty apps such as Opera Mini (where it would be really handy) BBnotepad etc...
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com06-14-09 12:15 AMLike 0 - Screen cap and reset work great (bye bye quickpull and capture it).
An observation not a real problem: adding items alphabetically - I added a few items to start playing with it. They were added alphabetically... Played a while then went to add some more items, the new items were added alphabetically but as a seperate list form the top - it doesn't insert the new items into the existing list.
So I have A B C D.... then again back to A B C as I scroll down. As I said no real worries I guess most people move stuff about and into sub folders etc...

There is now a space for the weather dertailsa to be displayed under the QL header and time - but no weather details. Does it take a while to udate or something??

Oh well.. Enjoy it. I'll just stick with the old one.

Did you try entering your zip code without UK or the location ID from Yahoo?
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com06-14-09 05:16 AMLike 0 - No way to open the alarm on the 8330. "Clock" does absolutely nothing.
I have "messages" set up to open with a shotcut of "M". I also have SMS and E-mail displaid as seperate. I found that when I open messages, using the "M", that QL will open either SMS or e-mail depending on which one I was in last. Any way for QL to recognize these 2 items seperately? I'd like to be able to open e-mail with one shortcut and SMS/MMS with another.
Weather works perfectly. I used my zip code to configure. No waiting was required, it launched immediately.
Screen capture works perfectly and reset eliminates the need for Quick Pull. I love it!
The overall look of the setup is much improved from older version. Simple to navigate and allows the user easy access to all of the features of this app.
Its amazing how many things this app can accomplish. Any way I can send it to work for me too???

06-14-09 06:45 AMLike 0 - A few first observations -
1. As described before, the switch apps sometimes plays a dual role. At times it will escape back to the home screen while others it does what it's supposed to do which is really sweet.
2. No weather though I've configured QL using my zip
3. Clock functionality isn't present
4. Can you add 1 more higher sized font. I really dug the large font in previous versions?
5. I like the suggestion about the process of adding apps. Once you select one, stay on that same page so you can add more rather having to go back into applications every time. No biggie, but would move the process faster along.
6. Everything else is all gravy especially, capture it, device reset (though im not sure if it's equivalent to Quick Pull), the ultimately simplistic way to add apps, and individual and specific file access....Sweet.
7. Final question. How deep can you get with menu customization? For instance, can you add functionality to change the color of the menu or does it have to be the themes default? I'm using a stock theme now, but QL looks so good in black.06-14-09 07:33 AMLike 0 -
