when i click BB Button>Sign Out it asks "Are you sure you want to sign out and erase contacts?"

does that mean it's going to erase all the contacts i just added to my phone?

do i have to leave the app running in the background always?


i only have macs and needed to get my contacts from my address book on my comp to my phone. synced contacts from mac to gmail, then used google sync to sync them from gmail to my phone.

No from my experience it doesn't erase your phone contact
Your contacts will be synced to your gmail account

Yeah you would need to leave it on if you want push calendar updates.

You can choose to manually update it that way you can avoid keeping it on all of the time.
