i downloaded the push weather feature (the weather network) for my phone (8703e, verizon) but it doesn't update the weather from night to day until the mid afternoon, is there any way i can set it to push me the daytime weather earlier in the morning?

Try WeatherBug or BeWeather. Both have free versions that work well
