Finally had a chance to load it up and I can already say I'm thrilled with the ability to manipulate and monitor the buffering. Today's work will take me through some known signal "Bad-Lands", it will be interesting to watch the performance as AT&T goes from 3G to "I can't hear you now" in the course of a few miles.
I haven't found any issues at all yet. My presets show up, recording works great, buffering is amazing, local search is right on, pause and restart work fine.
I'll try the alarm tomorrow.

^^^This!!!
BTW, the alarm function is working great as well.

Yes, it works worldwide. It uses WiFi or cellular data (can't work via BIS) so depending on how much you operator charges for data it might be feasible or not to use it over cellular network.
Bold and Torch beta is full. Thanks guys! Please continue sending your feedback and I'll try my best to iron the remaining bugs and improve usability before the final release.
If you didn't make the cut to this beta, don't worry -- the app will be available to the public soon.
I'm still looking for testers with different Curves -- the list is added to the first post in the thread.
Everything's working great on my Bold 9650 (the "possible issue" I mentioned in an earlier post turned out to be temporary, most likely caused by an offending resident app).
Recording works well. I was surprised to see the recordings in a proprietary format (somehow, I was expecting them to be saved as mp3s). The test recording I made was very clear and erased without problems.
I did a recording, and deleted it. But traversed to the recordings folder and saw a file there. Didn't know if it was an "orphan" recording or just some other dat file.
I also would consider the possibility of reducing the size of the buffer or at least making it user configurable.
I think 5 minutes is more than necessary. For live listening, pausing, for me, it is usually just to rewind and relisten to one thing I hear. I would be happy with 30 seconds to a minute.
But this is based on car listening. I would need time to pause, pull over, and rewind, then replay. 5 minutes is way too much for that.
But it is good for a situation where you are listening at home, perhaps with your berry attached to a full stereo, and you need to answer the phone or go to the bathroom, etc.
It will be different for everyone. Thus, configurable would be great.
Alex, I can't say it enough....you efforts on TuneIn are so very much appreciated!
Downloaded last night. Already found some great stations for preset and recorded a few workout songs. Really too early for me to tell regarding battery life. But, the app updates over the previous version are only making a good app even better, IMHO.
Can't seem to find the recordings on my SD card or in the Media folder. How do I save them on my memory? All is well though! Alex you've did it again from the looks of it, cracking app!!

Working great. Played it all the way home from work (30 min. drive). Played perfectly through my Moto H500 with no interruptions. Even paused properly when I took a call.
Alex,
If your still looking for 8530 BB testers

I got a feature request. I've played with this app all last week and weekend. You need to add at least 1 bug for me to find. I tried doing almost everything I could to bug out this app. Couldn't do it. Still trying. Can wait to purchase as it will surely release soon.
