My Bold 9650 came back from it's boot after loading the updated (non beta) BBM and I had a message that Poynt was updated to 1.7.1.49.

Went to appworld and the listed change notes are:

    - Facebook integration added
    - Playbook Pairing added
    - Fixed map screen bugs
    - Under the hood restructuring for efficiency
Not exactly sure what is meant by that second item, but it could be good....

I've been running 1.7.1.7 for weeks now. Why are you going backwards?

Are you sure it's not 1.7.1.17? I had that before the upgrade to 1.7.1.49.

It does sound like a downgrade, as .7 IS a larger number than .49. Then again, if we are talking prime numbers, 49 is not a prime number since it is divisible by 7, and 7*7=49, (or, 49/7=7), which would make them equal.... But fractionally, .49 is smaller than .7(0).......ANYWAY, .49 version IS an upgrade and adds the pairing function to your PB through your PIN.

Again, 49 is higher than 7. You must be mentally ********.
If you would turn down 70 cents and take 49 cents instead, then you're hired!

He didn't say anything about version 1.7.1.70. That is absolutely higher than x.49.

I also have version "1.7.1.7" on my Bold, and I would read that as: 01.07.01.07. I do remember everyone getting excited when the BB OS5 versions went to x.105 from previously being x.97. That would NOT be going from 970 to 105, but from 097 to 105.

    Same thing goes here.

the back and forth on the difference in designation notwithstanding, the developer is the one calling this an upgrade. perhaps those of you that think you're moving backwards ought to take that up with them. if you have the app installed, v1.7.1.49 does appear as a downloadable upgrade. and, did i mention, it works!

Poynt is showing .49 on online AW, but only .7 for me OTA. It is definitely an upgrade since 49 is higher than 7. That's how it goes for apps. No need for name calling either.

Ok, so now that all the bickering seems to have died down regarding version numbers......

Is anyone else having the same problem as me? I cannot find a way to remove a theater from my favorites. Am I just missing something easy? Not sure???

I called Poynt to find out if .49 was an improvement over .7. They don't do customer via phone normally, but the receptionist got a tech. Short story .49 is the new upgraded version.

I had email conversations with Poynt (very responsive support btw!) and they told me there is in fact a bug in the new version that appears to be causing my not having any option for removing a movie theater favorite. Not sure exactly what it is or how long to "fix", but they said they are working on it.
