I use Google maps a lot, but i here good things about Poynt. If i don't use the Movie tool or white pages is there a reason to have Poynt?, Google maps does local searches.

I use both. Poynt is a good app for searches. I like google maps better for overhead maps/location

+1 I use the yellow pages in poynt quite often too.
Last week I was in NYC for an entire week. I turned on my GPS to locator, opened up GOOGLE Maps, selected Directions and it took me to everywhere I wanted to go. I didn't know Google Maps was that good till last week. It basically took me all over the city, with out I would have wasted a lot of time looking for subway, walking, driving directions, or I would have had to go on HopStop.
