    the App Store here says that "Poynt" is not compatible with the 9700. I can swear I've read some 9700 users saying they have it and love it. Anyone know for sure?

    Yes, I downloaded it and it's running just fine on my 9700. Latest version is 1.5.2.36. You can download it directly by going to m.mypoynt.com too.

    Poynt download

    It will detect your device.
