+1 on Poynt. Much better, in my opinion, than Where.

I didn't know Poynt has voice GPS...+1.5 if it does.

There is no voice gps for point since it doesn't have its own mapping program but instead runs off another one installed on your phone

Another vote in support of Poynt. It's easily one of the greatest free apps available for BlackBerry devices.

It's probably my most used app. I haven't found anything I don't like about it.

To activate voice navigation you need to have one of the Network in Motion products loaded on you device. This would be VzNavigator, Telus Navigator, or Gokivo (a free voice nav not on VZ of Telus networks). If you have one of these loaded, when you select "Get Route" in Poynt and select one of the above navigation apps, Poynt will automatically send you into the voice nav experience.

Use is it all the time, especially to keep taxi drivers honest when I am in a strange city .

Unless the makes of Poynt have released an update, it does NOT work with VZNavigator. Everytime I try to get route with Navigator, the "GPS request timed out" and I have to re-install navigator. Poynt is a awesome app but would be a phenominal app if this compatibility issue were fixed.

I love Point! When I first started using it it worked with TeleNav for Sprint but since the new upgrade about a week ago it hasnt worked. To get around it I save the location info to my phone and I go to my address book and "map from here" One extra step but I still love it.

Use GOKIVO for voice turn by turn navigation. It integrates beautifully with POYNT by selecting "map route" after hitting the menu button- once you have highlighted your destination of choice, of course. It is my most used application, awesome and free. It has pretty much replaced my built-in $2000. navigation system in my Acura since it is much more accurate when looking for a specific store or yellow page application. The volume on Gokivo isn't great, as some have mentioned, so I place my Bold in a windshield holder and plug it into my audio system. Rocks!
