I know what you're saying, but I liked that from my other phones. I gues I'll just see how much it impacts the battery and go from there

App works great, thanks BergerKing.
As far as the battery drain thing, I would start using the cell anyway when I get a text, so the screen would like up regardless.

I've had BBlight on my phone since my Storm1 (which i got on day 1) and at a whopping 18Kb it's never really affected my battery life or memory.
Yes it runs in the background, but an extra 30 seconds of backlight per text is moot.
