I just got back from disneyland and was actually wondering if there was an app out there. How ironic? I would download it.

If I were to go to DisneyWorld again, which I'm sure I may[ROADTRIPPPPP], then I would definitely download this app if it were available on the Storm!

Since this app depends on user input to get waiting times it seems to be rather useless for that. When it comes to set reminders for fastpass and such, why not just set an alarm? The food and drink part of it would be the only thing I could see me using.

i agree that he results are a little inaccurate. but what else do you do while waiting in line? this would give you one more thing to entertain yourself with. what i like about this app is that you can see where all the food places are even churro stands. im going in july and i already know how much this would help me. everyones disneyland vacations styles are different so this app may not seem to be much help to you, but i think that if they start with disneyland, and walt disney world, that they can gravitate to non disney parks. such as great america, six flags, magic mountain, busch gardens, santa cruz etc. i see this being a foot print in what we can see in the future as the norm. most people write on their maps to show what they covered in the park and i think that you would rather use your phone to keep track of this information. i know i will get different opinions and i appreciate both sides. these opinions are what developers wanna know before they develop programs. thanks guys. keep voting!

Wouldn't the point of this app be so I don't have to wait in line? I rather keep my shiny BB packed away nice and save instead of flashing it around to find the next churro stand just to get it snatched by some a*& hole and if you can't remember what attraction you have covered in the park within the last few hours you probably don't have the brain power to use a Blackberry either. I go to Disney, Universal, etc a few times a year (I live in South Fl), just got back a few days ago from Buschgardens and so far the paper maps you find everywhere in the parks have served me well to find my way around with no problem. Besides that, I use the time at the park to not use my BB all the time. I can't imagine what my wife would say if I start pulling out my phone every few minutes to check a ride or find a food stand.
As nice as this app looks, I think it would be more hassle than help. Just my opinion.

i agree to some extent. this is why i wanted a poll and a forum so i can address these with either developers of my choice and or the company that made the gotplans app. there are upsides and downsides.

Disney and Verizon have announced that they are creating an app just for verizon customers back in November. Do a google search for Disney and Verizon.

i asked a manager at the verizon store near my house. he said he never even heard anything or read anything about them making an app like that. but you can get articles online about it lol. what i am thinking is that we need to take things into our own hands. any developers that would like to help me develop this app please let me know, i can give you the concept idea on how it should work. but im far from being a programmer lol.

i got a reply back from the gotplans llc company. here is what they wrote:

Douglas, thank you for the question. We've had many people ask us about this. We are currently focused on refining the app for the iPhone but will consider trying to move it to other platforms sooner than later. It is not a simple process, unfortunately.

We have a new spectacular map and a lot of other new features coming soon that should really take the app to another level. I would definitely take what's coming over the competing apps that are popping up.

If we move forward with the Blackberry edition, I will let you know. Please keep me posted on how the poll numbers come out!
