    Hi,

I have the Blackberry Curve 8900.
Recently, I have tried to download from BB App World, however the apps fail to install!
It just says "There was a problem with installation."
This also happens when I try to upgrade an application I already have.
I have just attempted to upgrade the App world, and it once again said there was a problem in installation...and now App World has disappeared completely! ??
    What do I do?

Thankyou in advance for any help!

First, do a Battery Pull: Leave your device on, pull the battery for 20 seconds, put it back in and wait for your device to boot up... try it again.

Next, you MUST have a Blackberry Data Plan... do you???

I did a battery pull before and it still didn't work.

Yeah I have a data plan...That's why I don't understand why it is doing this?

Do another... then try to download it again... if that does not work then do:

Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Menu button > Register Now

Then resend your Service Books to your device from your provider's website.

I recently had something similar, when I tried to run app world the error was that I needed a data plan for this service.

The only way I resolved this was to use my pc and log into my carriers BIS and resend service books.

This cured all the strangeness on my phone, and there were loads!
