i just managed to get it working!

i went on the appworld website, clicked on a couple of apps i wanted and sent the link to my phone via email. i then clicked the link in the email and told it to open via app world and it worked!
it didnt bother bringing up the "upgrade your service plan" or w.e it was it said
it just opened and let me browse!

What plan do you have? Would that work with any data plan?

The email method worked for me too, I'm on orange uk with data.

Couldn't get the ota to work directly off the website
