It not like these cameras are that great of quality in the first place... Viewing the images on your phone wouldn't look right and if you printed it it would look nasty. So what would be the point really?
Maybe it's not possible to do it from within the camera, but an app could certainly invoke the camera, and then stitch the photos together.
I'm no developer, so I can't make it, but I'm sure someone else could.
That being said, you're probably better off doing it on your computer (easier and almost definitely cheaper), or buying a good camera (cuz lets face it, 2 or 3 mp is sooo 2005) and doing it with that.
