I've searched and cannot find anything conclusive for Pandora.

Is anyone able to successfully play Pandora via bluetooth(a2dp). I've tried on my bluetooth head phones and Pio receiver. I can play through the BB media application no problem, but if I switch to Pandora it just plays through the Storms external speaker.

No news to report yet, but thanks for being so patient. We have a bunch of stuff in 1.0.4 already that I think you'll be excited about, and we're working very hard to fix the "skip to start of song" bug in the Storm (when you receive a system alert such as incoming email, sms, etc.) This is personally one of the most annoying bugs and we really want to find a workaround for 1.0.4.

From the station list screen, press the Menu button and select Options. From the options screen there is a setting to enable Bluetooth. Make sure it's enabled. Let me know if that works!

Going to pandora.com should work. Is your browser identification set as BlackBerry? If you have it set to Internet Explorer or Firefox, it needs to be changed. Other than that, you can try either the CrackBerry App Store or BlackBerry App World.

I like Pandora, its the only radio app I use at the moment. But sometimes it lags on my phone which gets annoying. So I might try Slacker.

I've been playing Pandora in my car for about a week now, and have noticed a bug I believe. In this week, I've had Pandora freeze 3 times. After about two minutes of waiting, I receive an uncaught exception and the program terminates. It seems as if every time its froze, its been when I've taken my phone from my hand and placed it down on my center console (in the process, rotating from portrait view to landscape view.)

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue.

If you (or anyone else for that matter) experiences a crash such as this, please feel free to either PM me or email your logs (from the Event Log Viewer) to [email protected]. The logs will likely contain a stack trace containing more information that will help us troubleshoot (and fix) the problem.

on 1.1.0, it took a little bit longer to error, almost 2 hours, but I was listening to a station that tended to have longer tracks than from the 90 minute session the log excerpts are from. That combined with the higher data rate for the stereo in 1.1.0 makes me wonder if it might be where related to where track name and info is stored instead of actual track data, thinking that with the new version the higher data rate should have filled up whatever limited capacity memory partition sooner, instead of later. But I have no idea how it's set up and works, just trying to rationalize the results I saw.

I'd like to add that I believe it has something to do with the 151 radio file (platform 186 if I remember correctly). I had the 151 OS and kept getting the same memory errors after X amount of time streaming music (pandora, slacker) or uploading pix to twitter (using ubertwitter in my case).

I finally swapped out the 151 radio for the 132 radio, keeping everything else from 151 the same. Voila, no more errors.

Not sure if this is any help or if it's even your issue to deal with (it may be RIM's or VZ's problem) but I wanted to pass on the info......

BTW, I'm loving pandora (though I wish there were preset genre-specific stations).

Thanks for all the information, guys - it's very informative. It's definitely a case of the device running out of memory. The audio metadata is too small to be the culprit - it's most likely the audio data itself.

I'll open a ticket with RIM to see if they have any insight into this issue.

    Thanks,
    Marc

Just an FYI, it's not the app memory b/c even when the errors occur there is still plenty of app memory.

    Thanks for the quick response.

I just upgraded to .151 yesterday and installed Pandora 1.1.0. Upon loading Pandora I get the following errors:

"Unexpected network error occurred: Failed to open UDP socket while checking licensing"

    followed by:

"Unexpected network error occurred: Failed to open UDP socket while signing in"

and then it brings me to a screen that has the options "I have a Pandora account" and "I am new to Pandora". When I try to log in I get a similar error.

I get these with Pandora, Slacker and Rewards Network Dining apps as well after running .151 for a couple of days... Battery pull helps. looks like a network stack bug to me.
