When I started this app for the first time, I got a DNS error but the app loaded and I was able to listen to my stations. However, I was not able to adjust the volume. Whicf of these issues are related to the app and to the device OS?

I installed Pandora last night. No DNS error and app runs fine for me.

What about the volume adjustment while in Pandora? Is it the device OS or the app?

    I'm running the stock at&t os 5.0.0.296

Volume adjustment worked fine for me. I used the volume keys on the side.

I am running the stock AT&T OS 5.0. On my 9000, you could hold the volume up or down until you reached the desired volume. After playing with the volume controls on my 9700, the volume controls have to be selected up or down one volume level at a time.

It takes a little time to download. You can't expect a handheld device to react as quickly as a PC.

It starts up faster after the first time that you launch it.

Sure the 9700 speakers are not as good as the 9000 IMO. Try selecting the Bass Boost setting under Options.

Does your volume adjustment work in other apps? (Phone, playing mp3s, Slacker radio...) If yes, that'd tilt toward the app I'd say.

How did you install it, latest version direct from pandora.com via download, or and older version from another phone via desktop manager? If an older version, I'd try the latest from the site.

(While I'm posting about installing Pandora - Stupid User Trick: I'd set my browser to identify itself as Firefox to visit a site that didn't like blackberries. If you visit the Pandora.com with that setting, you don't get offered any software to download... just a blankish screen. Took me a while to remember I'd changed that and set it back. Voila.)

I will have not tried in other apps yet but it works when watching videos. I was used to being able to hold the toggle and not to single toggle at a time to move the volume up or down as it seems to work on the 9700. This is the only way to raise or lower the volume that I have found.

I get the DNS error sometimes, and I can't use it. Most of the time it works just fine. Maybe I'll delete and reinstall to see if that corrects the problem.
