Seriously why would you guys want this older version you are not able to "like" things and you cannot comment on any post made by a friend using an iphone. That was a major PITA. I think even with 1.7 being a little slow, those 2 improvements alone would make it near impossible to go back to the 1.6 builds.

Why would I? #1 Because I haven't gotten notifications on a regular basis since I switched to it. #2 It's slow as F!
I use Vodaphone update to keep track of updates anyway. It allows you to comment and "like" posts too. If it weren't for the hope of getting intermittent notifications, I'd delete the FB app completely.

I can't get this on my 9530 Storm, like someone else pointed out earlier. I can install it just fine with BDM but after it is installed I cannot find the icon in any folder. It says its installed under applications but I cant for the life of me find it!
There sometimes would be a Facebook icon that opens up the browser, but no app.

first try was with Facebook 1.5 OS 4.6 - result: I can't find program icon, that's why I can't to run app.
second try was with Facebook 1.6.0.21 OS 4.6 - result: need to upgrade to v.1.7, but this version can't connect to the server. ****!

I've uploaded through DM but I still cannot see the icon in my BB 8830. But, when I check Under Options>Advanced Options>Applications, it is over there. How do I get it from there to main screen?
