I use Opera all the time & I like it a lot but I hate that it can't minimize. Are there any other browsers that work similar to Opera (that loads the whole page on non mobile sites) that can allows you to switch between applications. Or any tricks for doing the same with Opera?

You can try bolt browser. I personally like it better that opera. Try it out

I sort of answered my own question, and thought I would share in case people wanted to know.

In Opera if you press the talk key it takes you to your call log. From there you can use the app switcher. I was pretty happy when I figured that out.
