This is a known issue with the phones that have trackpads.

Opera v. 5.0.17405 works fine on my 9650. The newer version does not, however.

Newest version of Opera works fine for me and all of my Blackberry packing friends. Sensitive yes, but that just means you need to turn down your sensitivity or move your finger slower.

I use the Opera Mini 5 Beta 2. I love it and haven't had a single problem browsing. There is a link to a zip file that you can load on with desktop manager.

Check out this post. It helped me out. You can go and dl the .jad or .jar file to your pc and then load it on your phone using bbsak. It works awesome. Life isn't the same without opera mini!

I too have the newest opera and the sensitivity is ridiculous. Talk about turning down sensitivity.... turned mine all the way down and still couldn't control opera reliably and all other apps were way to slow.

Glad to have found this thread and now know it is a known issue.

Gonna give Opera Mini 5 beta 2 a try a guess.

    Thanks

I recently switched to Sprint and got the 9650. I was under the impression the opera mini will fine with 9650, and it has with my storm 2 when I was with Verizon. Boy was wrong. As posters mentioned, the sensitive issues became a deal breaker for my 9650, so I moved on to the Bolt browser (latest version). No sensitivity at all, scrolling seems sufficient, and browsing is as fast or faster in opera mini. Its a better back browser for the 9650 (imho) than opera. Until opera sort the trackpad issues, I'm sticking with bolt.
