Don't have Opera Mini now, but maybe you need to set APN settings for it to work.
Probably a dumb question, but do you have Mobile Network turned on and 3G showing?
I'm running Opera Mini 5.2 right now and just got on the web via my 3G connection. Have you tried a battery pull?
I'm wondering this also.....
And how do you close out the pages on the start screen with the 6 blocks!

how do u delate/change the links on the start page?
The only way I can re-create this problem is when the protocol is set to "Socket" in the protocol section of the advanced settings.
The blackberry browser will not work with the protocol set to "Socket". If it is on "Socket", change it to "HTTP"
Hold your finger on the one you want to change. After a few seconds it will give the option to edit or delete.

The only problem I've had with Opera Mini Beta is that it makes the native OS browser look like crap, Opera was fast, then I wifi'd it up to try it, and even faster!!!!!
is there a version of this that is meant for OS v5.0.0.428 ?, i tried the links for opera mini and even tried the Bolt browser (via PC) and it just says its not compatible with my device and cannot be loaded
Since opera mini 5 is still in beta its tech not compatible with our storms. But download it anyway. It works pretty good!

DJ-1, go to m.opera.com/next using your BB's native browser over a DATA connection. Make sure you are using DATA and NOT WIFI. For whatever reason, if you load the page via wifi, no links appear. Switch back to data, and BOOM! links appear. Weird I know.
Opera Mini 5 works great with the S2. I tend to use my S2 to surf the net more than my laptop now days because of Opera.
i cant get the BB browser to work on anything other than WIFI, in the options it only has HOTSPOT option, if i turn off wifi, it just wont connect
this is why i was trying to get a `standard browser` to test out my gprs connection, as I`m having an issue with my App-world not running in my other thread
here:http://forums.crackberry.com/f145/ju...9550-a-401728/
if i could get ap world working, thats half the problem soved
Yes finally know how to do it. Thanks!

Anyone having an issue with text overlaying other text. For instance title headers overlaying the text below the title?

I managed to get the Opera mini 4 browser working on the phone, but when I try to download the opera mini5 Beta it auto-launches the `main browser` downloads most of it, then fails saying "Invalid jad and buffer overflow"
???
lately the beta has been on/off slow to connect to any site.....any reason?
I've been loving Opera Mini 5 Beta 2 (as opposed to the full out MIni 5) on my S2, but starting yesterday, it "Unable to connect."
I've got it set to HTTP, not Socket.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks for any help!
Om5 has been official for a while now. Just curious, why are people still using the beta?
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com
Excellent question.
I read that the zoom out feature is gone with the official. I personally love the mini text -> zoom in feature on the Beta.
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com
I owned beta 2 and I have no clue what zoom to text feature was.
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com
Zoom is still available on the official.

I am unable to view in full view by using OM5. I keep getting mobile view even though I had turned off mobile view. Any idea why?
