You could try changing your network settings in Opera.

Go to the menu then settings>advanced and change it to socket/http or to just http to see if one or the other makes a difference..

I liked Opera on OS6 so I tried it on my 9930 just to see if it was better than the native browser. I couldn't get pages to load no matter what settings I tried, so I deleted it. Native on OS 7.1 is pretty fast so I guess I'll leave it at that.

I use it all the time on my 9350 running 7.1

I wonder what the difference is between the Curve and Bold.

Just curious, did you download it from AppWorld or m.opera.com?

I doubt there would be any difference but you never know.

I don't know anything about the software differences between the Curve & Bold. I downloaded from AppWorld. Maybe I'll try downloading from m.opera.com when I get the chance. I always liked the UI on Opera better. Thanks for the suggestion.

got mine from m.opera.com and it works great. i haven't used the native browser enough to compare, but i loved opera on my android, so i got it here and it's essentially the same.

I also use opera on my laptop. I like the way that the speed dial and bookmarks sync up throughout all my opera installations.

That way it doesn't matter if I'm on my phone, booted into Windows, or Linux everything matches.
