Hi guys i need a little bit of help with something...
I have downloaded the new Opera mini 5 beta for my 9500. It loads up fine and it will do the initial search fine from the start page. The problem is that when you click on a website link from the results it brings up it wont load the page.
I have checked that all permissions are set to allow and have even tried uninstalling and re-installing it again.
Sorry to sound like a total noob but i can't seem to find what you are describing. Can you give me a specific guide as to how to get to this option.
I have seen an option in the actual opera browser before in advanced options which is set to http but it can be changed to socket... i cant find anything in the actual bb options in opera 5 apart from setting things to allow / deny / prompt.

thanks again for your help.
Start opera 5
Blackberry button
Select the tab(with the down arrow)below the forward icon
Now click 'setting'
Then 'advanced'
Chose 'protocol'
Make sure 'http' is selected
Update: I seem to have got it working now from your help i had to restart my device for the changes to save for some reason as it kept changing itself back to socket.
Thank you all for your help with this its muchly appreciated... Just while i have your attention though you guys seem to mention press the bb button, but when i press the bb button nothing happens. If i hold ot down then it brings up the little box where you can switch application but thats all.
The bottom of my OM5 has a back arrow; a forward arrow; a refresh button; the tab button to switch between windows and the spanner for the setting etc. Should i be getting more icons than this?
