    I have a Curve 8900
    Windows XP Pro

I am unable to get PCKeys working. When I hit "Test Connection" my BBerry has a screen pop up that says "Connected to PC: but on the PC the PCKeys says "PCKeys 1.0.7 - Error Connecting" on the top of the window.

None of the options work either. Anyone have suggestions?

My BBerry is on a different network segment than my PC. Do you think that could be it? My PC is 10.1.20.xx and my BBerry is 10.1.40.xx

Update: Okay it seems that there IS a valid connection I am able to interact/control the blackberry but I'm unable to calibrate the screen so the connection is useless! When I go to calibrate it brings up the window but doesn't display my screen. Looks like this:

Hi. I just came across this thread today and downloaded the app. However, the app is requiring an activation code. Is it possible to recieve a code to beta test it or is it too late?

Any ideas why I have a connection but am unable to calibrate screen?

I know it's connected because I am able to interact/control the blackberry from the pc but I'm unable to calibrate the screen. So it makes the connection pretty much useless! When I go to calibrate it brings up the window but doesn't display my screen.

I'm testing version 1.0.7 with my 9550 Storm2, my PC is running windows xp.

Connection works, but I've noticed two issues:

    1) Every keypress sent from the app to the bb seems to be doubled, i.e. as if the key has been pressed twice.

    2) The remote display of the bb screen will not work.

If I can provide any further info, please let me know.

Thanks for providing this open beta!

I can't tell if it is suppose to work this way or not, but are you able to use the remote display to click on? I have a torch and it works great except for having to use the blue arrows to navigate everything on the phone.

This app is awesome! My BB currently is giving me a bad time, the keyboard's gone ******** on me (press one letter, the other comes up instead), using this app is somewhat of a lifesaver, if worse comes to worse, I can always navigate myself using the laptop.

This app definitely needs to become a public one.

Truly an amazing program... I get so jealous when I see programmers doing sh1t like this! I am using 1.0.7 and it worked first time without an activation code... I have been looking for a program like this for a long time, it's like a "remote control blackberry" - the most useful feature is being able to type on my keyboard for some long complicated emails... somebody earlier was asking whats the point of this program? The point for me is that my work email is on my BB so occasionally I would like to use a keyboard... wifi is fine but a usb connection would open up the program to more possiblities... for example being on the road with a laptop and a Blackberry...

Cool name for program could be BBecho

    LOVE this app!!!

One question -- is there a keyboard shortcut for the "menu" key? If not - can I request one??? :-)

Also - One thing I found that works for me... I find that rather than using the screen calibration feature - I like having my BBerry in a stand on my desk and looking directly at the BBerry screen when I'm typing. There is no lag or delay that way!

This really is a fantastic companion for a BlackBerry.

I use a 9780, and whenever I'm at my desk it's always placed in a charging pod. Always handy to be able to see the screen, but I've always wished I could control it with my keyboard - and now I can!

The software looks very much like a beta, but from what I can see thus far, it all works rather well. I was able to connect my Bold 9780 to my Windows 7 64-bit desktop at the first attempt.

I'd love to see USB communication (as opposed to Wi-Fi) added at some point, but this is already very useful.

As for a name, here are a couple of suggestions:

Wow! Very nice and clean set up. Thanks!

+ 1 on USB connection. That would be great.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit on my PC.

My device is a Torch 9800 on AT&T with

Install was very easy on both the PC and BB. Follwed the directions and was able to connect on the first try. Took me about 10 minutes of nosing around and figured everything out.

I really like being able to control my phone from my PC, as well as being able to respond to messages via my PC keyboard. I will test it out over the next few days and will report back my findings. Thanks again for designing this!

I'm using PCKey with Windows 7 Pro x64 and my BB 9800 Torch. Everything but the remote view works great. Calibrating the screen doesn't help.

Thank you for this great App!
