Who agrees? I mean official like it's on your blackberry and MAC/PC via download. Free and Pay software, official App Store.

Why does it have to be a constant competition between blackberries and iphones? They are two different devices. Get over it.

There's the CB app store (and I think there's a BB store). When BB's can do what iPhone or iPod touch can do you will see an explosion of BB apps. Until then well.....

I disagree. Most of BB app offerings are uninspired compared to the apps available on the iPhone. Lumping those apps in one centralized location does nothing to make those programs better.

What they need to do is put out a more robust SDK so that developers can make better apps. However, since the BB is device that is known for stability and security, the chances of a better SDK that allows developers access to the core applications is very unlikely.

Hello everyone Im a Mac.... Daddy that is! J/K

Seems like the forums are being clouded with friendly and not so friendly fire at the Apple IPHONE?

Just have to speak my mind on this, as there has been a bunch of comments made that I wanted to speak on but have yet to do so, so here it goes!

The Apple Iphone is an awesome device designed for and targeting individual's, family's, and especially students

That is why the App store is there, with 99% of their applications geared the same way! The product was geared for the masses

Although the Storm has many of the features of the iphone, allot of which are currently better by the way, it is still a BUSINESS DEVICE AT HEART
Many of you may not use it but Blackberry currently dominates the Corporate mobile information market. There push services are unparalleled in the Cell Phone market.

Until the Blackberry Curve, RIM was really not interested in the consumer market at all so to speak. While Apple Target's the Consumer, Student, some design companies.

I guess my point is, lets appreciate the fact that RIM has stepped into this market and is going to provide some healthy competition from two very innovative and awesome companies. Lets also realize that although the products may be similar, they may also be headed in two different directions.

So for those people so quick to bash Apple, you might want to look around the house before you speak, Im willing to bet there's an IPod somewhere around....

What are you talking about. No one in this thread came close to bashing
Apple or it's product line up. And I don't even have to get up to look around
my house. I own nothing from Apple.

^what he said...i read it earlier, and also mentioned that...iphone didn't have an apps store until fairly recently. the bb storm JUST launched and is the only bb device that you can compare with the iphone... maybe you should compair how long it took iphone to launch a apps store vs the bb storm once the apps store is ready
