One more Google Voice question

Loving Google Voice. I have one question for the experts.

If I bring up the phone, then select contacts, then highlight a contact, then press the bb button and select call using Google Voice, it doesnt make a call, or do anything.

If I choose contacts from the main screen, or the apps screen, highlight a contact then press the bb button and select call using Google Voice, it makes and completes the call.

Is this just an anomoly in the program or am I doing something wrong?
