I have a Torch and since this morning, I have not been recieving Facebook notifications on my blackberry. Is anyone else having this problem? I'm only getting the emails and NOT the red star on the Facebook App.
I am also having the same problem on my 9550. There is discussion about this too in the beta zone and it is also happening with v.1.9.0. Hopefully they resolve this soon.

nothing since last night on my 9700. I think its a facebook issue and has nothing to do with our phones. This happens occasionally and then it all magically re-appears.
Still not getting my notifications. I deleted and reinstalled the app and it works for a day and then it stops working. Did it twice already. Same result. Frustrating considering its just the new fb 1.9 that's having this problem. Hope they fix it soon. If anyone has other ideas besides what I've tried let me know.

I'm running v1.9.0.20 and I had to the actual facebook website and go to account settings > notifications and play around with the settings there to get my notifications again, and they seem to be working now.
Now there is a whole new issue: no sounds for facebook?? I went to edit the sound profiles on my bb to see what the issue was, and there is no longer a "facebook" under any of the categories in ring tones/alerts, so there is no way to set a ringer or even a vibrate to facebook when you get a notification. Seems dumb that now all I get is the red asterisk over the facebook app logo now.
What settings did you change on the website to get your notifications. i've tried getting my messages through sms and email but those also only work for a short time. real weird.
Make sure you log into the facebook app using your carrier email, for example mine is (myemail)@tmo.blackberry.net and make sure under notifications on facebook that your email notifications are going to that email as well. Go through and pick which notifications you want and they should start sending to your email AND your facebook app. Once I was sure all the notifications I wanted were coming through I was able to uncheck all the notifications and they no longer send to the email address but still go to the facebook app.

I'm not getting emails but I'm not getting notifications either. The only way I'll get my notifications is if I sign onto Facebook from my laptop or another computer.
Think i've figured out the problem. When i delete and reinstall the app it will work fine. When i change or add a new notification email it works fine. The moment it STOPS working is after a quickpull or battery pull. For some reason when i do 1 or the other i stop receiving my notifications.
So since we all know that battery pulls are a way of life with a blackberry, any other ideas as to how to prevent this from happening?? Cant keep deleting and reinstalling the app, i've done that the last several days and its way past annoying
