I'm really irritated by this also. Last year, they rolled out the NHL Ice Time app around March for the final months of the season. The download only really worked for Verizon devices, but somebody leaked the free version for use on other devices. It was decent, but ultimately didn't offer much of an advantage over ScoreMobile. But it left us hopeful that we would get a paid premium app (somewhere between $5 and $15) that would include video highlights from all games, similar to MLB At-Bat (which I LOVE, even with Blackberry's subpar video quality).
Didn't happen. In fact, I don't even see the free app anywhere. What gives? RIM is a Canadian company, so if ANY of the pro sports leagues would have a built-in user base with Blackberry, I'd think the NHL would be it.
The app name has been changed to NHL GAMECENTER... I am slightly frustrated, because I bought this app last year, and now to get the video I would have to pay $20, but the free app is great.. Here is the BB appworld link to all three.. Worked great on my 9550 and now great on my 9650.
This year they have 3 levels, a free one, the premium one, that adds radio feeds and video highlights, AND a super expensive Live one that has all the games live, with home and away feeds. It's 79 dollars and yes I got it! They GPS black you out of your home games and the games on versus, BUT you get everything else. And of course you get all the features of the other 2, the radio feeds and the highlights.
