Thanks for the heads up. So far it's working OK with 151. Been using it for about 15 minutes and it hasn't locked up on me. It would lock up within 5 minutes using the prior version.

I have had 2.0.2 for awhile..correct me if I'm wrong, but is that not a more recent version than 2.0.12?

Removed it from my Storm. It crashed both my BB Storm AND my friend's iPhone.

Would 2.0.12 not be newer than 2.0.2? I would understand if it was 2.0.20, but 2 is before 12. I could be wrong though.

The version OP is talking about--2.0.12--is in fact the latest version. Verizon customers will now notice that they have the option to purchase the current song through the VCast music store.

This version's launch coincided with Verizon pushing the installation app to our phones.

New version of slacker seems to cache must faster. It use to take about 90 minutes to cache 11 stations, but today it took 38 minutes. Could somebody doublecheck this?

    Cheers,
    B.D.

Update: Been using constantly for the last 2 1/2 hours without any issues. Happy with Slacker again. The last version wouldn't last 5 minutes without locking up my Storm.

Yeah, I think you're right. I cached in 38 minutes today with 2.0.12, versus about an hour the day before with 2.0.2.

I got mine working but after one use Slacker simply gets stuck in buffering mode and never gets to playing any music

I have tried 60 second battery pull x3...no luck. Really not excited about uninstall/reinstall option...

    NE advice?

To cache a station just highlight the station you want to cache, press the blackberry button, and select the cache station option. The next time you connect your Storm to your computer you can choose to sync slacker.

Upgraded to Slacker 2.0.12 this morning... not impressed. Since the upgrade,

-- First time I ever experienced an endless buffer between songs (> 1 minute). Only happened once, but still.

-- Twice now, a song that was playing randomly stopped and jumped to the next one. Sucks because they were both good songs, lol!

-- Vcast icon to buy the song. Not a big deal, but I despise Verizons vcast gimmick, so to see it now integrated with Slacker was something for me to roll my eyes at.

I want my 2.0.2 back, is that even possible?

I know i'm late to the party here, but is anybody else having a problem with this new version of slacker freezing up completely after 6 seconds of playback of a cached station? using it on my storm, and it won't let me simply exit out of the program; i have to turn the whole phone off and back on again, or sometimes it won't respond unless i pull the battery out which is a pain because it takes a few minutes to fire back up.
