I am posting this to get some thoughts and ideas on a new app possibly in development for locking the screen on Storm and Storm2 devices. Mainly I want to know if people think there is a need for it, what they would pay for and want in a limited and feature rich version of the app.

Main ideas for it so far include
-Pressing lock opens the app and unlock will go to the unlock screen. (some apps have issues and relock requiring multiple clicks)
-Stiffening the screen effectively (Storm2)
-Allowing volume buttons to work for ringtone and/or music playback.
-Customized background for horizontal or landscape.
-Showing icons for all message notifications
-5.0 OS touch screen device only

Major decision regarding core functionality
-What kind of locking mechanism. A pattern or slider? Maybe an android type unlock screen?

Please provide any input good or bad, you members will decide wether this project will go into fruition.
