Another question: Will radio On/Off enable the radio even when the battery is low? TIA.
My parameters for bluetooth toggle are 5,6 and it always crashes.
Quicklaunch has been denied the input simulation permission.

I had to change thw default permissions from custom to allow and now it works.

Nothing will help you with that if your battery is low

It actually worked once when I changed my parameters to 5,5 and then it wouldn't disable until I changed mu parameters to 5,6. The actual menu option is the sixth position. I don't know what's going on with that

the parameters have to be in numerical format such as 5,1 or 2,8 etc.
This release is for the storm only as indicated by the forum we are in.
if you have loaded this on the tour i suggest removing it.
perhaps you were a previous owner and have changed devices or downloaded the wrong version.
in either case you should have this version and should go to mobihand.com. click on support, then 'contact support' and tell them to switch your device type. they will fix it soon.
thanks
so how is the bluetooth toggle working for everyone.
works for me but this method is kinda of... idk... i don't like it.
macros etc.. would be better if RIM just coughed up the apis to us developers so we could do it correctly.
anyway, i expect some fine tuning with the bluetooth toggle in the coming days so please leave your comments here.
there will be a bug fix release tomorrow to fix the font problem too.
I found a bug..when u change flicker fix enable, it reverts back to large font even if I had small font set.

yes. i know. read my last post.
fixed. update is tomorrow.
thx.
This is probably not a bug (and maybe I never noticed this before) but when you click Device Info, now you can edit the last line of text (Media Card). When I click on it, my keyboard pops up and I can delete the line.
Other than that, still the best app for the storm, hands down.
I've noted that when I did the update it lost the information in config on displaying the temp and the zip code. I even did a restore and found that it didn't recover that info. Seems like that should be part of the config storage, no?
Hey CA, I like the BT Toggle. You are right, a little clunky looking, but I will be using it. Thanks.
Love this app but looks like v2.12 does not like 5.0 OS; the menu bar image's fuzzy.
this app. just keeps getting better and better good job. One thing that sucks is the $1.99 update.
I tried to set up the Bluetooth toggle, and I get the following error
"Application terminated: QuickLaunch has been denied the "Input Simulation" permission."
I set all the default permissions to Allow, and it is still giving me the error.
Bluetooth toggle is indeed kludgy. With the need to be specific as to location of your Bluetooth in the option menu, can be changed by install or delete of another app.
Many themes now have it where you have single click to manage network connections then click the "Bluetooth" on/off, can't that be used somehow? Seems more straight forward anyway ;)
I tried to add this to QL, got same error as earlier poster, "
"Application terminated: QuickLaunch has been denied the "Input Simulation" permission."
** Update - I went in, and changed permissions, saved and then set permissions back to "Allow" once again and it seemed to fix the problem.
** Update #2 - In testing this, I encountered an instance where pressing the BT Toggle from QL brought me to the About screen instead of the Bluetooth screen. Looks like it's a timing issue with the wait between commands being a little aggressive. Might need to put a longer wait between each macro.
That might be the solution. Then again I also noticed that when I change the prefs to have QL along with tilt options to show in the menu, it's a problem because the menu is scrolled up one space so that QL is actually hidden at the top and the program seems to ignore that position. When I eliminated the tilt from the menu and gave 2 as the position, it worked just fine.
Loving these new features, especially the "Stay Lit" one. The BT toggle is working for me except for when I'm playing music. It's due to the "Now Playing" option is being added to the system menu and changing the position of where "Enable/Disable BT" is at.
Other than that I haven't had any issues yet. I'm running 151 btw.
Thank you Cheetah for making my most used app even more usable!
There will be another update today to fix the font bug and i'll put in some more delays for the bt toggle. I knew this feature would need some tweaking. Maybe I'll give the manage connections approach a try.
Will do...
The bluetooth toogle works great. Macros may not be the most elegant way to solve a problem ,but, they do work and simplicity is elegant. People need to count the "Option" positions from the "About" command. Many applications will add commands above the "About" command ,but, they will not be counted. Just start with The "About" command as "1". I don't see any way to get around the problem of adding and deleting applications that add setup informations to the "Options" command list. It is not that difficult to edit the macro command in QL when needed to keep things in synch.
The QL bluetooth toogle is by far the fastest and smoothest implementation of such a macro I have seen to date. If there is a better way I am confident that you will find it. Keep up the good work.
Is the Stay Lit supposed to disable when you hit the end-call button from an application to stick it in the background? Was listening to slacker today, had stay lit on, and everytime I hit the end call button to go read a text, I noticed that I had to re-enable Stay Lit.
Mine locks up my storm and I have to do a bat pull. When I pressed it, it went to bluetooth screen listing my devices, but thats it. I had parameters set to 5,2. Any thoughts?? thanks
