my friend got an update message via facebook app that there was an upgrade from1.6.0.17 anyone else get this? it wont come up for me from the app center.

Do you already have the facebook program on your phone?
If so, just go to your options and click the "Check for Upgrade Now" link at the bottom of the menu.
That should work.

Otherwise, just go to the facebook page with your browser and click to download the newest version. It should overwrite your existing one.

Just go to Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones from your phones browser and download it there.

I see you're calling them "mistakes." Dropping the occasional punctuation character would be a "mistake." Losing all of them in one go seems pretty intentional to me.

Have some compassion for your audience, OK? If you can't be bothered to make your posts readable, don't be surprised if someone takes you to task for it.

I upgraded, not much different the pictures are loaded different.

The Arby's knock was actually a quote from an old Simpsons episode. It had just struck me as funny, even as someone who kinda-sorta likes Arby's.

Since I installed it I haven't had any e-mail alerts.

I have tried to re-install it and have run through the setup twice but still no joy.

TBH i never got them on any of the last three versions of facebook. I really don't care about them as long as i get the facebook app alert.
