It's simple just open the app, place the phone in your pocket and start walking. The app will record the number of steps you take and will also show you a distance traveled based off of the number of steps you took.
You can click the screen to pause the pedometer and click the screen again to resume.
A few additions I might add in the future is an overall stats page, a calories burned item and a few other goodies. I kept it nice and simple though to conserve as much battery life as I could. There is no point to have flashy graphics or anything like that.
For those who care:
The distance is based off of the average American walking span. It's not going to be 100% on the noise, but it will be pretty close. =)
Great idea. Downloaded it even though I can't use it right now but I will have it for when I can in a month or so.

You can hold it in your hand and shake your arm forward and backwards lol. I was doing that earlier and wouldn't you know it my phone ended up hitting the floor pretty hard.
Very cool idea but I'm not sure how accurate it is at counting. I just walked around the house for a bit and it only caught about 50 or 60% of my steps. I really like the idea though. I'll have to try it tomorrow at work.

What pocket did you have it in? Are your pockets tight or loose?
I'm still working on the senor to get it working 100 with everyone. Right now it seems to work 100% with my style. I keep it in my front pocket and my pocked is kind of lose.

Left or Right front pocket of my Lucky jeans. Not emo jeans and not too loose either.
I just tested it out at work and for 30 steps, it counted 24 so it is an improvement of last night. I was wearing PJ's last night which are very loose so that may be why the result wasn't so great.
