I have an updated version now. I have added a time setting (as originally planned), and directions. This is still just for the status LED. I haven't figured out a way to have it revert back after receiving a text or email. The only workaround that I've noticed is to change the LED setting to off under the Profiles menu. The link has been updated on the first post, first page. I also fixed the problem with the menu popping up every time you press a button.
Much better. Everything you have seems to work in the app...exiting the app, it gets a bit wonky. I'll fiddle at work some more to be more specific.
Please explain what you mean when you get a chance. I have noticed that when I exit it doesn't revert the LED back to the original state. Also, you don't work for Dynamic by any chance do you? My roommate is a guard at Fort McClellan in Alabama.
Well I just got settled at work so I will get back to you with specifics.
And no I do not. I work for minimum wage guarding a Land O Lakes plant in the San Joaquin valley. Nothing exciting at all.
Ok. I'll keep editing this post as I find stuff.
1. When I first open the program it puts the red LED on. Not flashing, just on.
EDIT: I opened the program again and the red LED stayed on like before. I changed the time settings and selected green. The red light stayed on and the green blinked according to my specified times. So it basically flashed between red and green.
2. When I hit any of the color buttons the light goes off and nothing happens. To get it working I must change the on or off times. Once I do that, all seems well.
I haven't gotten the chance to test it when a message comes in. I'll get on that and get back to you.
EDIT: the light does revert back to default red blink after receiving a message. But you already know this.

The light won't blink when the same times are selected. I was trying to use a method to turn the light on when you receive a message by turning it on at the start of the program, that didn't work and I just forgot to take that out. This is the reason the LED is on constantly at the start of the program. I'll take that out and upload the fix. I'll also change the default index of the off time so that it reads .25on and 1off. I'll edit this post when it is up.

The flashlight sounds like a great idea, i can't wait for the notification update
I don't know how much the LED would help as a flashlight. Does it really get bright enough? My experience with it is that it is not a sufficient source of light. If you want a flashlight built it I suggest that, when activated, the screen whites out with the backlight at 100%.

That's what I was planning on doing. I haven't gotten that far yet though. I'm working on a way to select the brightness level right now. I'm also playing around with the layout (using fieldmanagers to organize it).
Can you add purple?
I tried one of the LED apps BerryBuzz maybe but it's purple wasn't so great, I believe it's achieved by useing the red and blue led's at the same time.
Maybe by having them both on and adjusting the brightness of one or the other you could get a decent purple.

I will. Brightness settings are kickin my **** right now so I'll try this real quick.
EDIT: I tried this but the blue is so much more brighter then the red that it wont look right.
i mean of course i downloaded it, BUT with the constant flashing, does it drain it extra fast?
I would imagine it drains the battery about as quick as the regular Status LED does. When I figure out how to add brightness settings you can dim the LED and possibly decrease this strain on the battery.

i usually have to turn off the led light at night when i put my daughter to bed cause she gets all into it
New Update. I added Red/Green, Red/Blue, Blue/Green color combination. I also added an option to change the LED brightness (I can't really tell if it makes a difference).
Note: You can't change the brightness or the timing of the alternating LEDs. That feature may be added in the future if I can figure out how. Once again, the link has been updated on the first page.
