I am wondering if there is an app that will cause the letter keys to broadcast the corresponding number tone during a call. When I call a phone system that requires entry of letters (like a dial-by-name directory), I can't remember which keys correspond to which numbers - (like "2" is "ABC" on a regular phone.)

Seems to me it would be a good idea to have an app that made the letter on the keyboard emit the tone that corresponds to a regular phone keypad.

You don't need an app you just need to hold down the ALT key while hitting letters during that call.
