the cheapest and most free you can get already exists on your phone. After picking your fist alarm through the clock app go into the calendar, click bb button, then new alarm. You can have as many as you want or need.
Sweeeet.....thanks bunches!!!

BBSmart Alarms Pro was one of the first programs I bought for my berry, and it works great for me. I think it is about 5 bucks in the CB store. It allows you to quickly set alarms and can use mp3s rather than generic alarm sounds. The only thing that bothers me sometimes, it that I have to enter my password in the morning in order to turn the alarm off. Not that big of a deal, as it helps wake me up, heh. You can also set "quick alarms" that automatically delete themselves once you are done with them. These are great for cooking, or other one-shot deals. The app looks clean, utilizes big buttons, and has different "skins" you can add to each alarm. See if they have a demo, and try it out for yourself.

The native alarm will also allow you to select Mp3s for your alarm.
To do this, turn on your daily alarm, click on the ring tone option, scroll up to Browse... Select Media Card, scroll down past the picture folders, your Mp3 files are now displayed, select one and save. They will play full length, and escalating makes for a nice wake up.
To multi-alarm, use your calendar, select your time for the alarms, set them for daily or whatever you need for Occurrence. You can use the same method as above to use an Mp3 for your Calendar.

Yep, and you can set sounds for Tasks reminders in place of the "quick alarms" function. I used MyAlarm until I really learned how to utilize everything in the phone's native apps, but it was ugly. I liked the option to force a password before disabling the alarm though. Helped me avoid turning it off in my sleep. Otherwise, I can't find a feature offered by 3rd party software that the native apps lack.

All the above advices work if you have 5.0. Otherwise, yes, you need to get a proper alarm program. For me, the default's great.
Yep......I like the default alarm! Especially now that I know you can set multiples! Great help people! Thanks a bunch.

I have been a long time user of BBSmart Alarm Pro, love it. But I just downloaded a trial of the newly released Swoosh Alarm and it is really nice. only $4.99 too. You set as many alarms as you want and it also have unlimited World clocks for other locations and a kitchen timer!
question about setting multiple alarms, does the calendar set alarms ring with the alarm ringtone...or are they going to ring with calendar reminder tone? Just wondering as i'll need to change if its calendar tone as that WILL NOT wake me up! lol
Yeah, they will. Trick is, use your customary profile for daily Calendar use, then create a Custom Profile for your morning wake-up call. Then you can have something loud with a couple of clicks.

Adorno MultiAlarm
only 3.99 on App World
WOW. and I thought I was (kind of) an expert, lol.. I can't believe I did not know about this! I was just about to finally break down and pay for an alarm app too but I'm gonna try this out first with a custom profile and I think it will do just the trick!!
thanks again
